Many of us look back on our lives and certain cars stand out that we think of or wish to be classics. Some were probably absolute lemons at the time, but some have become so just by outlasting others in the people's consciousness.

In writing my story, I wanted to get the right car. In films and TV shows around the world, the right car has been a character in its own right, the wrong car just gets lost.
I chose a Buick Estate Wagon 455-4 V8 for the story as Cal returned home and was reminiscing of times spent at home and at his Grampys. An ideal of what a traditional American family might've had. House, Wife, Family car. So an old Buick wood external panelled wagon seemed the right car.
